Care tips

  • Light: Bright, direct light. Most cacti need at least 4–6 hours of direct sunlight daily. A south-facing window is ideal.
  • Watering: Water only when soil is completely dry — typically every 2–3 weeks in summer, once a month or less in winter. Overwatering causes rot.
  • Soil & Potting: Use a fast-draining cactus mix. Add extra perlite, coarse sand, or pumice. Excellent drainage is critical.
  • Temperature & Humidity: Keep between 15–30°C (60–85°F). Tolerates dry air very well. Some cacti benefit from cooler winter temps to trigger blooming.
  • Extra Tips: Handle with care — use thick gloves or folded newspaper. Feed with diluted cactus fertilizer once in spring and once in summer.
