Crassula Gollum (Crassula ovata) is a quirky succulent with tubular, finger-like green leaves tipped in red. Very easy to care for, provide bright light and water sparingly when soil is dry. A fun, low-maintenance plant also known as Shrek Ears.

Care tips

  • Light: Bright, direct to indirect light. At least 4 hours of bright light daily for best growth and colour.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly but only when soil is completely dry. Typically every 1–2 weeks. Much less in winter.
  • Soil & Potting: Use a fast-draining cactus/succulent mix. Add extra perlite or coarse sand for improved drainage.
  • Temperature & Humidity: Keep between 15–24°C (60–75°F). Tolerates low humidity. Very drought-tolerant.
  • Extra Tips: Easy to propagate from leaf or stem cuttings. Jade types are considered good luck plants in many cultures.
