The Hoya finlaysonii 'Black Leaf Splash' is an epiphytic vining plant cherished for its striking, nearly black, glossy foliage with prominent venation and silver "splash" variegation. It is a popular, relatively low-maintenance houseplant that is considered pet-safe. 

Care and Maintenance

• Light: This Hoya thrives in bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate medium light, more light encourages better foliage color and blooming. Avoid harsh, direct sun, which can burn the leaves.
• Watering: Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between waterings. It stores water in its thick, waxy leaves and is sensitive to overwatering, which can lead to root rot.
• Soil: A well-draining, airy mix is essential, such as a blend of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir.
• Temperature & Humidity: It prefers a warm environment, ideally between 20 to 24°C (68 to 75°F), and moderate to high humidity (around 50-70%). It should be kept away from cold drafts.
• Fertilization: Feed with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the spring and summer growing seasons.
• Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years, or when it becomes significantly root-bound, using a pot only slightly larger than the previous one
