Care tips

  • Light: Bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some morning direct sun. Variegated types need more light to maintain white patches.
  • Watering: Water when the top 3–5 cm of soil is dry. Monsteras prefer slightly moist soil but are prone to root rot if overwatered.
  • Soil & Potting: Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix — orchid bark, perlite, peat moss, and charcoal.
  • Temperature & Humidity: Keep between 18–27°C (65–80°F). Prefers moderate to high humidity (50–70%). Provide a moss pole for climbing support.
  • Extra Tips: Fenestrations (leaf holes) develop as the plant matures. Clean leaves regularly. Toxic if ingested — keep away from pets.
